Penn State's Beaver Stadium to Host Spring Beer Festival
Matthew O'Haren/USA Today Sports

Penn State's Beaver Stadium will be busy this spring, with the annual Blue-White Game and a Luke Combs concert scheduled for April. And after that, a unique beer festival arrives in May.

Beaver Stadium will host the Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest, at which more than 75 brewers and other companies will showcase drinks, entertainment and more at the nation's second-largest stadium. The event, scheduled for May 11, is sponsored by Antifragile Brewing, Breweries in Pennsylvania and the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau.

Among the exhibitors expected to participate are Antifragile. Troegs, Dewey Beer, Trace Brewing and many more. According to the Hoppy Valley Brewers Fest website, more vendors and entertainment options will be announced. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.

Penn State Athletic Director Patrick Kraft wants to stage more events at Beaver Stadium, which is undergoing a $700 million renovation. Beaver Stadium will host Luke Combs' "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old Tour" on April 27, two weeks after the Blue-White Game. In 2023, Beaver Stadium hosted a yoga class and showed "The Lion King" on the stadium screen. Beaver Stadium also has hosted a pop-up version of TopGolf.

"We're not going into this [renovation] thinking about [using Beaver Stadium] seven days a year. We're going into it thinking 12 months," Kraft said in a 2023 interview.
