Earlier this month, Golden State majority owner Joe Lacob told The Athletic's Tim Kawakami that Myers is "top three among general managers." But Myers' salary ranks sixth, seventh or eighth among the highest-paid executives, per The Athletic.

Myers is one of the NBA's top executives.
After only a year as assistant general manager, he was promoted to GM in 2012. Myers hired Steve Kerr as coach in 2014, drafted Jordan Poole with the 28th pick in 2019 and traded for Andrew Wiggins in early 2020, among other stellar moves.

Myers has downplayed the chances of him departing.
"I really like what I do now. I do love our group. I don't think it's anything imminent as far as stepping outside of this job," he said on his newly launched podcast.
But circumstances can change quickly.
A great executive is hard to find. Lacob must pay him what he's worth.
