The New Orleans Saints added another quarterback to their room this past week. Kellen Mond will contend for the backup job alongside Nathan Peterman and Jake Haener behind Derek Carr. Mond's first decision as a Saint may raise some eyebrows.

Winston was a fan favorite during his time in black and gold. He was a locker room leader and extremely active in the community. After this past season, it became clear that Winston would probably head elsewhere.
The Saints chose to sign Peterman and Mond once Winston signed with the Cleveland Browns. Winston is excited for a new experience and opportunity in the AFC.
For New Orleans, they need one of Peterman, Haener, and Mond to emerge before the season to be the clear QB2 behind Carr.
During Mond's time at Texas A&M, he took snaps from current Saints center Erik McCoy during his freshman and sophomore years.
