Watch: Commanders RB Gibson Scores TD; Washington Comes Back vs. Jets
Kevin R. Wexler / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Washington Commanders have completed quite the comeback.

After trailing 17-0 and 27-7, the Commanders have scored three unanswered touchdowns to take a 28-27 lead against the New York Jets.

The go-ahead touchdown came from Antonio Gibson. Here's a look at the play ...

Howell isn't the only one adapting to the new offense, and with Bieniemy in tow, some of the Commanders skill players may be due for a jump in production.

One of those players is running back Antonio Gibson.

Gibson entered the league in 2020 with expectations that he'd do more than play running back and be just as effective in the passing game. The do-it-all running back set a career-high with 353 receiving yards and ran for 546 yards in 2022. So far this year, Gibson has 208 rushing yards and 342 receiving yards.

With Bieniemy as the new play caller, Gibson may see more action as a receiver.

"Hopefully, this year, it comes around to where I can showcase on multiple occasions what I can do out there," Gibson said. "I love being out there. I have fun out there, and once I get the ball in open space, I'm really that guy."

Gibson's versatility has been on display throughout his three-year career. And now he's helping give the Commanders a late lead against the Jets.
