Novak Djokovic , one of the greatest tennis players in the sport, has multiple achievements to his name, numerous titles, and records. However, there remains one prestigious title that eludes his collection. It is a gold medal in the Olympics.

Recently, his ex-coach Goran Ivanisevic spoke about the Serbian’s chances at the medal in an interview with Sportal. Firstly, he mentioned that a win in either of the slams would give him confidence heading into the Olympics.

What I think is crucial is that he wins at least one title at Roland Garros or Wimbledon. It will give him the confidence he needs for the Games. He is missing gold and I know he will surely try his luck in Paris. When he plays for Serbia he is 100% motivated, and I know he will be 800% ready and motivated. said Goran Ivanisevic to Sportal

However, the Czech coach also mentioned that Djokovic will find it problematic that the Olympics is a best-of-two format, which is opposite to what the Serbian likes. Having said this, Ivanisevic also believes that if Djokovic flips a switch, then he is practically unbeatable.

This year alone, the Serbian has been struggling without any titles so far. One early exit and two-semi-final losses sum up the situation for the World No.1. On top of that, he also parted ways with Ivanisevic, after the Indian Wells

After Goran Ivanisevic, Novak Djokovic has also parted ways with his fitness coach Marco Panichi

Novak Djokovic, who has been in a bit of a slump, has a lot of catching up to do before the Paris Olympics. However, recently, the Serbian decided to split ways with his long-time Fitness coach Marco Panichi.

After Goran Ivanisevic, it was time for his fitness coach to now leave. Though Djokovic put up a post for his coach, he expressed his gratitude for him on Instagram. Thanking Panichi, Djokovic concluded another run with a long-term associate.

Now, the Serbian will be in search of more than one coach. However, he does not shy away from coaching himself for the remainder of his career. With the French Open approaching fast, Djokovic only has one tournament to prepare for.

He will play in the Rome Open, where even other tennis stars are sure to make their appearance known. After that, the Paris Olympics is not far off and Djokovic will hope to get back to winning ways before the Olympics.
